About Me
I didn’t come to this work from a distance. My own experience of therapy changed my life: it helped me understand myself differently, recognise the patterns I was living within and begin to make choices that had not previously felt available to me.
I have worked as a counsellor since 2015 and achieved BACP-accreditation in 2026. Alongside my training and professional experience, I bring what I have learned through navigating difficulties in my own life. I know that struggle is not always visible from the outside, and that the ways we learn to cope can sometimes come at a cost. This has given me a deep respect for how people survive - and for the possibility of finding different ways to live.
I am warm, engaged and genuinely interested in the people I work with, but therapy with me is not simply about reassurance. I will listen closely, notice what may be happening beneath the surface and, when it feels useful, invite you to look at things that may be difficult or uncomfortable to see. We work together to understand not only what has happened to you, but how it continues to shape your relationships, your choices and the way you experience yourself now.

Who I work well with
People often come to me because they know that something in their life is not working, but they cannot fully understand why. They may appear capable and cope well outwardly, while privately feeling anxious, angry, overwhelmed, disconnected or stuck in patterns that keep repeating.
You might be struggling within your relationships, questioning how your past continues to affect you, or finding that familiar ways of coping no longer work as they once did. You may simply have reached a point where you want to understand yourself more deeply.
My way of working tends to suit people who are looking for more than techniques or quick answers. You do not need to arrive knowing exactly what you want to say. What matters is a willingness to become curious about yourself and about what might be happening beneath the surface.
